     ROMA, 23 GEN - Il vento gelido che ha spazzato il centro-sud
     Italia ha provocato 3 morti, incidenti sulle strade e difficolta'
     per i trasporti.A Pescara e' morto uno skipper di 39 anni,
     Maurizio Riccetti, caduto in acqua mentre tentava di tornare in
     porto. Un pino secolare, caduto per il vento, ha ucciso un
     57/enne di San Giorgio a Cremano (Napoli). Un uomo ha infine
     perso la vita cadendo col suo furgone da un viadotto nel
     Cosentino: probabilmente per le raffiche aveva perso il controllo
     del mezzo.

     difficulties with transportation. In Pescara a 39-yr old skipper,
     Maurizio Riccetti, died when he fell in the water while trying to
     return to port. A centuries-old pine, felled by the wind, killed
     a 57-year old from San Giorgio in Cremano (Napoli). Finally a man
     lost his life falling with his van from a viaduct in the Cosenza
     area; he had probably lost control from the gusts.

     for haulers. In Pescara a 39 year old skipper is dead, Maurizio

     An old pine tree, felled by the wind, killed a 57 year old from
     San Giorgio at Cremano. A man had lost his life from a fall in
     his van from a viaduct in Cosentino: probably because of the
     gusts of wind he lost control of the vehicle.

     from within his delivery truck: probably losing control of the
     vehicle due to high winds.

     Torino, 23 gen. - Due milioni e 500mila e dalla Regione Piemonte
     al Comune di Torino. E' il primo atto della legge regionale sulla
     sicurezza, approvata lo scorso mese dal Consiglio Regionale, che
     attua il patto 'Torino Sicura', siglato nel maggio scorso da
     Prefettura, Regione, Provincia e Comune di Torino, alla presenza
     del vice-ministro, Marco Minniti.

     of Torino, in the presence of vice minister, Marco Minniti.

     Turin Comune. It is the first action of the regional law
     regarding security, enacted last month by the Regional Council,
     that puts into effect the "Secure Turin" accord, initialed last
     May by the Prefecture, Region, Province and Turin Comune, in the
     presence of the Vice-Minister, Marco Minniti.

MPD  Torino, 23 Jan. Two and a half million euro has been sent from
     the Piedmont region to the Municipality of Torino. This is the
     first act of regional law regarding safety, approved by the
     Regional Council, which implements the 'Safe Torino' Pact, signed
     last May by the Prefecture, Country, Province and Municipality of
     Torino, in the presence of the vice-minister, Marco Minniti.

REW  Two and a half million Euro have been granted to Turin Council by
     the Piedmont Regional Authority. This is the first action of the
     regional legislature on security. It was approved last month by
     the Regional Council which carried out the 'Secure Turin'
     agreement sealed last May in the presence of Deputy Minister,
     Marco Minniti, by the Prefecture, Regional and City
     administrations.

     vehicle they hope will be able to take passengers on suborbital
     joy rides, sheerly for the fun of it, with test flights beginning
